Antonios Liapis, a lecturer at the IDG, presented his paper "Exploring the Visual Styles of Arcade Game Assets" at the EvoMusArt conference 2016 in Porto, Portugal. The paper can be found here (as a pre-print). EvoMusArt is the primary conference of Evolutionary and Biologically Inspired Music, Sound, Art and Design, and beyond the work of Antonios on generating 2D game art featured 16 papers focused on generative music and visuals, dancing with algorithms, pattern detection of symmetries and creative typesetting.
